Kids Grow Green
Kids Grown Green is our flagship program. Since 2012, students from Concord Neighborhood Center have been visiting the farm weekly to plant and tend their garden, explore the farm through ecology lessons, and cook up healthy snacks from the produce they grow. Talented educators from L-BEAD lead the kids through a hands-on and fun curriculum. The program concludes each year with a harvest celebration where students prepare a meal for their parents.
Grant funds, donations, and proceeds from our workshops support this program. |
Workshops
Each season, South Circle Farm hosts a number of workshops open to the public. We bring in local experts to help people build skills and create more healthy lives. Topics include raising backyard chickens, organic gardening, and mushroom cultivation. Keep an eye on our facebook page for workshop announcements.
